Julian, why did you choose Solvinity for your graduation internship?

I properly informed myself, and finally made the choice based on the content of the graduation assignment. But the ‘click’ with them was just as important to me. During the first interview, I felt like I was taken seriously, and I found that Solvinity truly invests time in their interns. Once I began, I quickly found my flow within the company, which made my graduation process go smoothly with plenty of nice challenges.

What was your thesis about?

I researched the so-called Solution Blocks. Solution blocks are well-defined services by Solvinity that can be offered to customers ready to use. My research was aimed at identifying a best practice for defining new solution blocks. In order to do this, I held many interviews with Solvineers. It’s great that everybody is willing to help. This helped immensely in setting up my research.

What is your typical day like at Solvinity?

Every day is different. During the first months of my internship, I focused on learning about the organisation and delving into the research. I held many interviews with Solvineers during that time. The last month I was mainly occupied with analysing the results and following up with conclusions and recommendations for Solvinity.

Can you tell me more about the working atmosphere at Solvinity?

The atmosphere is quite informal. Everyone is up for a laugh and open to helping each other. But most of all, everyone is hard at work to provide customers with the very best service possible. In between there’s always room to relax a bit with darts, table tennis, FIFA 2019 or table football.

Is there anything else you’d like to add for prospective interns?

Go brush up on your darts and table tennis skills – the Solvineers are hard to beat. I would definitely recommend applying at Solvinity. It’s a unique chance to get to work within such a large organisation. Solvinity is not only focused on its own goals, but also on the objectives of your (graduation) internship.
